One creator, six briefs
The owner wanted ads from a creator's real pack openings. I made a series where each brief kept the proof and changed one thing.
01The insight
Rip fans have seen plenty of big numbers in ads. What they don't believe is that a real person pulls those cards. A creator's real reaction proves it. Josh Rips had dozens of CrownCards sessions on YouTube, cleared for ads.
02The angle
Show it happening to a real person. Real footage, real reaction, the real number on screen.
03The hook
Start on the second the card turns gold. No intro.
Then a good pull first and the huge one second, so the big one feels bigger. Later that became its own hook: "4K. 4K. THEN THIS."
04Edit rules
- Mute every swear (silence, not a bleep).
- Only caption dollar amounts the app shows, never what he shouts.
- Cover his own code, so each ad runs one offer.
- Cut anything off topic (his car talk) and any claim about odds the brand can't back.
05The series
Each brief changed one thing, so every ad teaches the team something.
| Brief | Hook | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| Josh Mew | "No way, we got a gold on our first Diamond!" | The first one. Free pack offer |
| Birkin for girlfriend | "HE OPENED BAG BOXES FOR HIS GIRLFRIEND" | Category: bag boxes |
| 92K Mew | "4K. 4K. THEN THIS." | Hook: two small pulls, then the big one |
| Luigi Pikachu | "HE NEEDED ONE CRAZY GRAIL" | Offer: deposit match |
| The grind | "HE WAS DOWN ALL VIDEO. THEN THIS." | Length: an 8 to 9 minute cut, because long ads were working for the team |
| Josh Halloween | A Gengar lands in a $1 pack | Season: the Halloween packs |
06What the client said
On team calls, Corto said to keep using Josh's clips and openers like this one. (From my call notes, not a written quote.)
07What I'd take to the next brand
- With creator footage, the brief is mostly an edit decision: which three seconds, and what to cut.
- Change one thing per ad. Otherwise you get six ads and no answer.
Where AI fit: AI drafted first-pass briefs and formatted them for the editors. I picked the moments, wrote the hooks, chose each offer, set the rules and reviewed the cuts. No performance numbers are shown.
